DIRECTOR STATEMENT

​

I got a call from Caleb at two in the morning back in January and flew to Los Angeles a few days later with no plan and nothing but a 16mm film camera tucked beneath my arm when I arrived at the front steps of Valentine Studios. What resulted is a dreamlike portrait of Caleb's creative process, a collage of surrealist poetry, impromptu performance, and childhood recordings that reveal an intimate, fleeting glimpse into his strange and beautiful world.
