DIRECTOR STATEMENT

Setting Fire To Your House takes its inspiration from the early pioneering music videos of The Residents, the secret Afro-Cuban cult of the Abakua (that I was researching and filming with in Cuba at the time), Dada theatrical productions, post-punk record covers by bands like LiLiPUT and the video for "Fred Vom Jupiter" by Die Doraus & Die Marinas.
